Thunderstorm Stops STRAY at A New Day
RAIN STOPS STRAY! Well, not rain exactly, but lightning. The atmosphere at A New Day Festival on Friday was literally electric as we took to the stage.
No sooner had we started, a biblical thunderstorm erupted - a proper job - monsoon like rain, lightning and thunder. Sadly, should lightning occur within six miles of the event, the show has to stop and can't re-commence until at least half an hour has passed which effectively scuppered our set.
The Stage Management took the difficult decision to ask us to stop just as we were going into 'Living The Dream' and it soon became clear that given the timescales involved we'd have to call it a day.
Although disappointed, we fully support the decision - we know it's only Rock n Roll but everybody's safety must come first.
We're looking forward to coming back next year to finish what we started!
